About Us

Healing America’s Heroes

is in the process of restructuring the programs for military veterans, first responders, and active military. HAH will also be expanding the availability of the facilities to corporations and private groups for retreats and /or specific therapeutic sessions.

For the HAH session participants, the focus will be dealing with specific needs of each individual or for couples depending on the specified five day scheduled session.

Curriculum

The curriculum is to be an initial four-hour classroom type presentation, lunch, then breakout sessions dependent on the type of need for the individual or couple.

Professional Therapists

This will be overseen by a professional therapist specializing in specific issues such as PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder); MST (Military Sexual Trauma); and TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury). The educational training may deal with anger issues, depression, relational issues and possible suicide prevention. This personal interaction will ultimately pinpoint how to proceed and on how to deal with the real issue that the participants(s) are trying to deal with.

Therapeutic Relaxation Activities

After the educational session and a break for lunch, the individual(s) will be sent to a relaxational activity, such as massage, acupuncturist, Reiki, chiropractic specialist, horse activity, a fly-tying learning session, or even an arts and crafts session. HAH will also be incorporating carriage and horse draw wagon availability for disabled and dismembered participants to be used for extracurricular activities during the sessions.

Jess and James

With the arrival of our new horses, in addition to being able to have expanded programs for disabled participants, we can also generate much needed revenue for future expansion of the facility. Military veterans and families will have the ability to have a military funeral using a horse drawn caisson which is being made available by the New Mexico Department of Veteran Services.

The facility will also be expanding the availability of the use by corporations, church groups and possibly groups around state like the New Mexico National Guard for their internal operational retreats and or training sessions. HAH still maintain a strict no tolerance policy on the prohibition of any alcoholic beverages while on our facilities or while participating on any HAH activities.

HAH has a no tolerance policy concerning drug use or having any drug paraphernalia while on HAH property or during any HAH sponsored activities. The only exception will be for medical purposes prescribed by a certified physician.

HAH also has a no firearms policy. No firearms will be allowed on the premises other than law enforcement personnel or formally designated security officers who have been properly vetted, trained, and licensed by an authorized state or federal agency.
